book of five

"What have you brought for me?" she said, though it wasn't date, yet that was a valentine day. She was not the so called valentine or anything but one of the close friends, a kid all set to discover the world on her own. Now had turned into a true hyderabadi from a typical oriya. "I wanted to give you something else...." - i said
I was getting late but had no options as she was tied to her desk at office. It would take some 15 mins to reach but i had to pass on time loitering on the roads for the next 60 mins. We used to talk rarely in college .. and she never ever expected we meet again ever! neither would i. She has her valentine i guess, and i had no intentions of being one. But we did expect a long session "cross exchange" of ideas .. experiences .. how abouts and of course some good food too.
Traffic was jammed arousing, the naughty kid in me who would scream and run through! Somehow my state didn't allow such an act. Finally we met at 7:45 each of us standing on the opposite sides of the 250 mtr road busy with heavy traffic. I saw her from a far view and was not really sure if it was her! same was with her. Though she recognized me and smiled as I crossed the road at a exciting pace. I never had realized the sudden grown of my hair until she kept laughing at them. I have grown crazy i guess.
I dont know why but usually any of my conversations dont last any longer than 20 mins except for some. Yes i had a very nice one with someone very nice, way back in bangalore (read my blog!). Still cherish that. Its very hard to continue talking. May be my lips get tired soon or words dont support me ... i dont know. This reasoned for a short talk session with GOOD food of course but a session filled with smiles and stares. haa haaaa ... not staring at each other but with those couples who sat by us and occaisonaly commenting them ! sure they woudl have beaten us up in case they had their ears open !!!
We walked a mile ... she grabbed the smiley form my hand ... a years time shared in moments.
"I wanted to give you something else. You might not like it .. and might be awed by such an act even in the 21st century which wud be rather rare. still i want to hand over you that .. a book of five .. which defines all life .. the bhagwad".
Gita to a lady sounds truly CRAZY !! that too in the 21st on a valentine's day.. so called futuristic century.
